Studies show that they stop crying because it changes the brain chemistry because they know nobody will come for them. I’ll let my baby fuss but won’t let him cry.

I never fed my baby to sleep and rarely rocked him fully asleep and I never had to sleep train. He puts himself to sleep for naps and bedtime without any problems and has never had to cry. He slept 8 hours by 8 weeks and 12 hours by about 3 months. Highly recommend 12 hours by 12 weeks sleep training book :)

Okay here’s my question though…Dana explained her method but she said her babies weren’t wailing they were fussing. I tried to do a super gentle version but mine will WAIL if i even try and the check ins just fuel to the fire and makes him more mad. Was your baby just fussing or was it full blown crying?

If he takes two, two hour naps. Isn’t the wake window between naps pretty short then? Like 2 hrs? Also what time is bedtime when you do a catnap? Does bedtime change if he doesn’t have a catnap?

We also sleep trained (Ferber method) so very similar but different time intervals. It worked wonders 🙌🙌 I haven’t attempted sleep training naps yet! When did you introduce that? And was it the same method as bedtime??

Does this mean you don’t feed overnight at all? How would we know if baby is hungry during night wakes?

my 9 month old is taking 2 good naps a day and goes to bed super well. it’s the middle of the night wakes we’re struggling. he’s always been an amazing sleeper like thru the night with a few bad nights monthly, since 12 weeks. but since 8.5 months he just is waking up 2-5 times a night, will not go down or lay down until i pick him up and rock him but then he struggles with the transfer. i’ve never had to rock or feed him thru the night ever but all of a sudden he’s just not sleeping and we’re struggling and i’m so lost.

My question is when they wake up from the 1:15 nap and you feed him, do you feed him before he takes a cat nap? Or when does he eat next? Does he go from 3:15 to 7 without a feeding? And how do you incorporate nursing and solids! I definitely think my baby is ready for this schedule but I’m not sure how to feed him! We’ve been following babywise eat wake sleep cycle so

but why do you need to let them cry? why not consistently go back, sooth them, go out back and do it as many times as they need to fall asleep? i have a feeling you'd get the same result with less crying although maybe more work overall for the parent. i just fail to see how the letting them cry longer and longer is necessary part

We have been sleep training for months and she goes to bed on her own at night but she literally hates naps and they are only 25 minutes. I have tried sleep training for naps and she will scream and roll around for 45 minutes and I’ll have to rock her to sleep. 😩 I need her to nap better….

Does this still work if the crib is set up in our room or does baby need to be in their own nursery?

We are on the two nap schedule at 9:30 and 1:30 (give or take 15 mins) and he goes to bed at 7pm. Every nap is an hour or less but he wakes up happy so I don’t mind. He still wakes in the night to eat though. How many hours is your baby sleeping at night? Is 7pm-7am too big of an ask for an eight month old? I just worry he will start waking up at 5am hungry everyday… idk what I’m doing pls help

I tried this. My daughter was screaming blood curdling screams to the point of gagging / making her owlet alert us low ox.. I couldn’t take it after an hour. So yours was crying 3 hours? Or just still up for 3?
