Unfortunately, I worked at Six Flags over Georgia and Goliath was my ride and they train us that when a bigger person gets on when you push that restraint down, you put your whole body force into it and make it click. All of them are adjustable to every single person that gets on there, I will say the skinnier you are the more airtime you’re gonna get because there’s a limit to how tight it can get but the lap bar when we get it to click if you feel like there’s more room, but we can’t get it to click we are told to send you anyway. Rip prayers for family

i was at six flags in NJ today. I've always loved roller coasters but i had such a weird feeling riding superman. Poor guy can't imagine his lasts moments 😢

My ex husband is a pretty big man, especially his stomach. He took our son and rode Diamond Back at Kings Island over the summer. It has the exact clamshell lap belt. He said it clicked but once they were going on the ride it loosened. I am assuming from his weight being distributed throughout the ride. He said he literally thought he was going to fall out and die. I guarantee that's what happened to this poor man. I can't even imagine...his son 😭

Not to be insensitive but I think it had to do with his weight because if you’ve ever been on Goliath you would know it’s just a lap bar and if you are big they have to get a worker to literally force down the lap bar until it clicks. Seems like in this situation the lab bar popped open

All I have to say is when I was a kid I legit almost 💀 on Goliath. I was too skinny and was sliding out the restraints. My uncle had to shove his arm and hold me down. To this day I fear Goliath.

It looks like he was probably too big to be on the ride, the lap bars do not click and lock you in properly if your weight is a little more than the actual seat. Just like the young man you passed on the dominator drop ride he wasn’t locked in securely because of his weight and the bar opened up as the ride was full speed . RIP TO THIS MAN I know that was the most scariest thing to go through. And you can see he tried to hold on Ughhhh

people saying weight limits but not the fact that maintenance on these rides are overlooked and restraint gears and lap bars can fail that's why all rides should always ALWAY ALWAYS have seatbelts or a harness in case of an emergency.
