@triploi: Socialist revolutions MUST be 'authoritarian' in order to survive. Because the capitalist reactionaries will stop at nothing to destroy them, from sanctions, to carpet bombing, to genocide… and they WILL destroy you, unless a dictatorship of the workers takes total control. Look at all the socialist countries that survived; Vietnam, China, Cuba, DPRK… all of them used authoritarianism to crush counter revolution every time it attempted to infiltrate the country. Now look at all the socialist governments the CIA successfully destroyed… Chile, Indonesia, Soviet Union, Venezuela… all of them let their guard down, all of them allowed liberalism back in the door, and all of them were destroyed for it, and their people turned back into exploited workers for capitalist imperialism. Authoritarianism was the difference. It actually doesn’t matter how you ‘feel’ about authoritarianism, the revolution will not survive without it. That is a historical fact. Millions were killed teaching this lesson, the least you can do is learn it.
