@japdmedia26: Magee, Mississippi — A 45-year-old man faces a m¥rder charge following a fatal assåul£ at a transitional housing facility on Saturday evening. Deputies from the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office responded around 8:27 p.m. to a reported disturbance at New Way Transitional Facility on Mississippi Highway 149. The facility provides structured housing for individuals transitioning out of the state prison system or operating under supervision. Investigators said Travis Lavett Weatherspoon of Crawford allegedly struck Jerry Michael Lee of Jackson with a chair and continued the assåult after Lee lost consciousness. Officers subdued Weatherspoon using a Taser and placed him in custody. Lee was taken to a local emergency room before being airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
