To tell you, andaming Psychology graduates na hindi nagpu-pursue ng medicine, not because they lack the ambition or capability, but because not everyone has the privilege, resources, or opportunity to do so. At the same time, mental health in the Philippines is still not given the attention, funding, and priority it deserves from the government.

im also a psych graduate, just recently passed the psychometrician board exam. and it’s the tough truth talaga na most of us find it hard to pursue the clinical field further bc of practicality. masaklap na if we choose to pursue masters, it takes another four years, as well as financially, tapos in the end hindi rin sapat ang salary. unless sa ibang bansa ka, mas may high possibility for stability there in the field 😔 may iba rin na kahit di clinical psych, some apply in HR or even other scope of work na far from their bachelor degree, just to find a way to start earning na financially to help support their families. pero until now hirap parin mag apply and makahanap ng trabaho. hirap mahalin ng bansa natin kahit gustuhin natin

This is one of my reasons bakit gusto kong mag-take ng psychology at maging ganap na psychologist, idk why—it's not just for myself, but to help others. hindi man nila maintindihan 'yung kursong tinahak ko, gusto kong gawin 'yung best ko maipakita ko lang na kaming mga SIKOLOHISTA ay may malaking tulong sa mga taong nangangailangan ng supporta sa mentalidad nila. syempre para mas maunawaan nila ang sarili nila at ma-overcome 'yung pagkakaroon ng anxiety, stress, depression and trauma.

Psychology was my dream course. Helping someone battling with their mental health was my passion because I know how it felt. But sadly, Philippines didn't pay attention and job opportunities are too few. That's why whether I like it or not, I forget my passion and took the course for practicality. My heart really longs for that forgotten course. But our country is so unfair.

gustohin po namin mga psych major na ipursue ang clinical kaso mababa po talaga ang sahod namin sa clinical :< hindi po kame makakakain ng passion po namin na yan sa clinical kaya masakit man po, may pinipii ng iba sa HT. kung sana ang gobeyerno ay mas pinapansin kame bat naman po hindi magclinical?
