@lolita2nd: Lately, I’ve stopped giving as much—not because I’ve changed, but because I want to see who is genuinely there for me and who is only around when I have something to offer. Sometimes, you have to step back, observe, and trust what your experiences reveal. Even the people you care about, support, and hold close to your heart can show you their true colors when you’re no longer giving as much. You begin to notice who appreciates your efforts, who values your support, and who only takes without giving anything in return. I’ve learned a hard lesson: just because you care about someone doesn’t mean they will care about you the same way. Just because you show up for them doesn’t mean they will show up for you. And just because someone is close to your heart doesn’t mean you hold the same place in theirs. From now on, I know where my energy, time, and support belong—and where they no longer do. I’m done giving endlessly to people who barely appreciate what I do. My silence isn’t weakness, and it isn’t an invitation to chase me. It’s me observing, accepting what I see, and slowly detaching myself. My goodbye may not come today, but when it comes, it will be because I’ve finally understood what I needed to understand. Sometimes, you don’t need to confront anyone. You just need to stop giving, pay attention, and let their actions tell you everything you need to know.
