I just want a fat Carrie. In the books, she’s explicitly heavy and it has a lot to do with her bullying. Idk why it’s never been adapted to the screen.

They STILL haven’t adapted her being overweight into film yet. The pigs blood is literally in tandem with her weight that she lost over time but was still perceived as fat by the bullies.

My only issue with it is that I don’t like the heavy super natural aspects of the show like especially in the finale . I think if they wanted to make carrie’s actions be more sympathic and make her a better person than I think it should’ve been offensive like her being cornered by a swat team or something who are tipped off by her abilities by her mother who could’ve in a ironic manner ratted her own daughter out to get back some control .

I'm conflicted... idk if I want to go back and rewatch the OG 1976... I realize now that I did see it when I was younger... TOO YOUNG... me no like scary movies~~ 😖😖😖 but... I feel like I should rewatch it before watching this new series... I guess it would be good for comparison?

I mean , I never considered it horror however , at the time that it was wrote And at the time that the movie came out , people were still freaking out over satanic panic , so I can see why it was considered , Horror then .

Carrie spent years with the bully’s so the home school to now in a new environment was a interesting change but Carrie is all about that built up fury that expresses through her power and she looks a certain way to none of the adaptations stay true to that but literally Mike F cooks and it was a great take on the story and feels like it can be apart of a bigger story because he wants to do dark tower so not complaining if we get a s2 maybe based on the rage carries half sister
