First year (freshman) here - 4.43 W gpa 3.89 UW , first gen, financial hardship, great essay. did not submit SAT or ACT score , EC: Co cap track team, ran track for 4 years 8th-11th, PRE IB student, DE in 12th grade, finished hs a sem early, 7 or 8 APs, held 2 jobs for 3-4years in hs, maybe 2 clubs, won a science fair, like 50 volunteer hours

4.2 gpa UW, 1120 SAT (ik its bad 💀), 4 different clubs, i did participate in a lot extracurriculars out of school which personally i think helped me get in. I feel like UVA focused more on extracurriculars for class of 2030 applicants. Don't let test scores and gpa define you!

Got in ED bio major with a 4.48, 14 aps, 1530 SAT, awards for GPA and school rank, research internship at hospital, hospital volunteering, shadowing. My advice, choose a niche major cause it doesn’t matter anyway, you’re not allowed to have a major until 2nd year so it doesn’t impact anything
