STOP getting HIT | AFTER YOU PUNCH 🥊 Every punch you throw creates an opportunity for your opponent to fire back. Instead of throwing, resetting and THEN thinking about defence, start building defensive movements directly onto the end of your punches. Here are some of my go-to options: 1️⃣ JAB → PULL Pull your head back and make the straight return fall short. Control the range, then recover your position rather than sitting over the back foot. 2️⃣ CROSS → ROLL The cross transfers your weight across, so continue that movement into the roll. This gives you an immediate answer for the returning lead hook. Punch → roll should feel like one movement. 3️⃣ LEAD HOOK → WEAVE REAR SIDE Continue underneath towards your rear side. This can take you underneath the rear hook while also moving your head away from the cross. 4️⃣ REAR HOOK → WEAVE LEAD SIDE Same principle in reverse. Finish the rear hook and flow underneath towards your lead side to evade the returning lead hook. 5️⃣ LEAD UPPERCUT → SLIP LEAD SIDE Take your head across to your lead side after the uppercut, giving you an immediate answer for the returning cross. 6️⃣ REAR UPPERCUT → DROP BACK & FLOW You’re in close after the uppercut, where hooks and uppercuts can come straight back. Drop your weight back to create space and flow into your next defensive movement. 🥊 JAB - Pull 🥊 CROSS - Roll 🥊 LEAD HOOK - Weave rear 🥊 REAR HOOK - Weave lead 🥊 LEAD UPPERCUT - Slip lead 🥊 REAR UPPERCUT - Drop back & flow These aren't the ONLY options. The point is having automatic answers built into your offence rather than throwing a punch and then deciding what to do next. Punch → defend → reposition. Make it one continuous pattern. 💯 #boxing #boxingdefence #boxingtips #boxingtraining #boxingcoach
