Correct me if I’m wrong, but if data centres are going to be built, wouldn’t it make more sense to build in an already urban area? Where ecosystems are already disrupted? Rather than a rural area with a thriving/untouched ecosystem?

There are already data centres in toronto. Around 85-100 data centres are currently in operation. It’s currently undisclosed how many are AI. Major cities are like the first place they put them. You unfortunately cant stop whats already here. But maybe (if its possible) you can evict all unnecessary AI data centres!
