@girmayzahilay: We all have a role to play in making our neighborhoods better. Our administration is making volunteerism a core part of how we bring residents together to solve problems and care for our communities. That’s why we launched the King County Volunteer Corps, and that’s why we’re inviting you to its first Regional Day of Service with Duwamish Alive! For 20 years, the Duwamish Alive Coalition has brought neighbors together to restore and protect our watershed. We’re joining that work to support cleaner water, healthy wildlife habitats, and thriving communities. Join me at White Center Heights Park on Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’ll plant native trees, pull weeds, and get to know the neighbors working alongside us. Register to volunteer with me: https://parksvolunteer.kingcounty.gov/opportunities/XxfaPKCOO9 Want to serve at another location? Find volunteer sites throughout the watershed at duwamishalive.org. Let’s make this day the beginning of an ongoing commitment to showing up for one another. Join the King County Volunteer Corps at kingcounty.gov/volunteer, and we’ll connect you with organizations in your community that need your time and talents.
