I’ve also heard that when a cat is old, sick, or in the process of passing away, they will go far from home. Or go hide. I hope she pops back up soon

When my 19 year old cat wandered off and didn’t come back for 24 hours, we told the dog “where’s the cat? Find the cat.” And she did…sniffed around the yard and found kitty curled up under a big hosta plant. We scooped her up and took her to the vet but the vet said not to try to save her. It was time. So we let her go 😞
