@learnwithsherlock: Baseball roof math. #mathematics #TikTokCampaign #baseball #edutainment #debunked Please note there is a good degree of estimation with these types of analyses.
Doesn’t matter anyway. As a die hard lifelong Padres fan, if you let it come down to one play by leaving 12 men in scoring position, that’s more detrimental than one “house” call. Should we have won? Maybe, but by the rule we did not and not despite opportunities. I call it like I see it. Would have been nice and electric, but the rules of their ballpark are clear. Home filed advantage. Now I just hope they finish off the Dodgers!

I'm glad u said foul because you didn't take into account magnus effect. it's not just lift from.backspin because this is pull side

I double checked the score board.. Brewers won, it clearly was NOT a home run.

Not one ball with that exit velocity and launch angle has been a Hr in that park in its history. It also had backspin you didn’t factor in as when it hits the cable the backspin would further affect the flight pattern.

For anyone that wants the boy technical answer. Ball went high and hit cable. Ball fell down and was caught near the warning track. Had ball not lost momentum, it would have continued beyond wanting track and over outfield wall.

It doesn’t matter if it was technically a hr because of the preset rules say it’s not

It wasn’t caught at 325 feet that’s where it impacted the roof. He’s in the center of the warning track which is only 16 feet long. If he was at 325 in a 340 foot fence area he’d be on the grass

The ball hitting the roof gave it a much more favorable descent angle. You initially proved it was going 290 ft, didn’t like that answer, and found far reaching measurements that give you a prediction of a Hr

also, the rule is (which was explained to the coaches and umpires before the game) if it hits the roof in fair territory its in play, in foul territory its foul, Padres fans need to stop whining already

Did that just show that the ball was in the air longer b/c it hit the cable and then used that time to get a distance of the ball not hitting the cable?
