I looked this behavior up on Google and it's kind of cute why they are there. it says they are drone bees and they just got tired, so they decided to rest over night on or in the flowers. it also says that the basil plant offers a nice sweet nectar for them. can you transplant the basil to another box or pot? says they either stay until season change or lifespan ends 🥺
