I think this is more of a class--it happens in East Africa (where i am from) and the Middle East--women pay slave wages for other poor women to take care of the household and kids and look down on the same women whom they entrust their most precious!

Oh dear me, in South Africa again. Every YT I know was raised by a black nanny, and black maid and gardener. Not only do they happily invite strangers they mostly detest in their houses but they let them raise their children🙄 go figure

If you see a white child on the Upper East Side during the day, you’ll most likely see them with an immigrant nanny. As a black person visiting from Cali, it felt u comfortable and I wonder if I was being perceived as the help if I went into an establishment (no shade to these amazing workers, it was just something I noted)
