I think this is why I love their development so much. Neither of them are remotely okay here. They hurt each other, they see the worst parts of each other, and somehow they eventually become the person the other feels safest with. 😭

This always makes me cry everytime I read it, this and the next chapter when all thats left in her heart is a wide chasm that is just full of emptiness and darkness. No way of knowing up from down, no way to see the sides so she can start to climb out.....I don't think I'll ever forgive Rowen for this, because it was just cruel.
