i always feel thankful and weird when there’s a para or co-teacher when i sub cause i love the help but i also never fully know how much i should take over since they’re there everyday and the kids actually know them. i feel like it’s confusing for the kids too cause they’re like “which adult do we listen to?” and it’s like BOTH OBVIOUSLY, but yeah it’s a fine line of, i don’t wanna step on your toes but i also don’t wanna not be helpful 😭

I sub and they find a sub for me. oh and I get paid more when I sub. its actually something our school has started doing for us aids this year and we love it.

nope not w the subs that come in anymore they always wanna act better than bc they’re certified to teach and im just a para. the kids don’t listen but it’s not my problem. even w the teacher at this point. i move up when my 1:1 moves up the grade. i miss last years teacher smh

not my para 🥲 she sits in a corner across the room from her 3 assigned students, colors, and lets me handle everything. no matter how many times I go and complain or request a para change, or talk to her nothing is done.
