READ CAPTION ⚠️ I’m sharing this again because people are still finding food through it. World Harvest Food Bank is a nonprofit serving Los Angeles County, and what they offer is dignity, not charity theater. For a $50 tax deductible donation, you receive a Cart With a Heart, a full grocery cart with over $400 worth of food, enough to feed a family of five for at least two weeks. Fresh produce, proteins, pantry staples, bread, and essentials. Some items are close to expiration, which is intentional. This is food rescue. Perfectly good food that should never be wasted. You do not need an ID. You simply fill out basic information. If you cannot afford the $50, you can volunteer for four hours and receive the same full cart if you live nearby After five visits with a $50 donation, your sixth cart is free, and you can continue coming back as needed. This is a grocery-style experience. The staff is kind, welcoming, and supportive. The owner’s goal is simple, to make sure everyone can eat and to build a community that knows there are people fighting for them to be okay. The location I go to is Arlington and Venice worldharvestfoodbank.org This is a hand up, not a handout. Saving hundreds on food allows you to redirect money toward an emergency fund, a high-yield savings account, or breathing room. Most Americans don’t even have $500 saved. A realistic goal is $1,000. If you’re not in Los Angeles I have a national food assistance spreadsheet linked in my bio with food banks, church pantries, and resources across all states. If you go, let them know Berenice sent you. If you’d like to support my work and access more resources like this, you can buy me a cafecito or Venmo me, the info is in my bio coff.ee/Berenice_dolls No one deserves to go hungry 😭
