That's why my budget was 20 bucks per child this year! and I lucked up on one of the costumes at a thrift store so that was like 5.00 but yea, I'm not spending all this money for one time wear! my closet is full of costumes from previous years just sitting in bags, last year my oldest wanted to be Jinu from kpop demon hunters her costume cost me 70dollars!!! where is it now, sitting in my closet! worn once. 😭 parents! don't do it, and push that Mom guilt to the side. 😅

Thing is costumes shouldn’t cost as much as they do considering it’s worn once. Then it sits in the closet bc by next year they’re likely grown out of it.

we go to so many community events all through October. my kids are more excited to hand out the candy to the kids that come to our door.
