I think there’s a difference between educating people on gel chemistry and contact dermatitis versus critiquing the actual techniques of working nail techs. Understanding SDS sheets and product safety is valuable but it doesn’t automatically mean you understand the practical side of performing nail services on clients. The creator you stitched is a licensed nail tech who appears to know what he’s doing, and I think context matters before telling an audience that a technique is wrong or dangerous. An extra extra coarse bit used to debulk product is not the same thing as using it carelessly on the natural nail. You can absolutely discuss safety without presenting professional techniques out of context, especially when your audience may not know enough to distinguish between the two.

that thing is TERRIFYING. I would rather take an extra 30 minutes on my nails rather than using this thing

WTH?? The risk of making a mistake with a bit like that by far outweighs the time you might save using it! My instructor says you really dont need anything more than medium grit. It doesn’t save THAT much time

🤣🐢 Every time you call that thing “The Shredder,” all I can think about is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! 😂 That e-file looks like something straight out of Shredder’s evil lair! 💀 And we definitely don’t want Master Splinter showing up either, because we don’t need shredded fingers OR splinters! 🤣🐀💅 We’re just trying to do our nails, not battle the Foot Clan! 😂

ok I may be mistaken and I see the mean comments from one person about this guy being a professional, but it looks like she has damage under where the acrylic is begins. it's small, maybe it's acrylic, but it looks like a small ring a fire.
