I grew up in a wealthy family. We kids never had access to cash or credit cards until we went to university. We did house chores, helping with cleaning and cooking, even gardening. That was expected. Doing good at school and behaving well was expected, too.

I told my partner early on….. our child will have a better upbringing than we did but we will not create a monster we will not be able to control. If you spoil them as children they become adults that won’t contribute to society in a positive way…. Don’t make monsters!!!!
