@choice.over.control: I find it hilarious when pro-lifers scream about the fetus’s bodily autonomy while simultaneously arguing that the pregnant woman shouldn’t have control over her own body. 😭 Since when does having bodily autonomy mean you’re entitled to someone else’s body to survive? That’s not how bodily autonomy works. #prochoice #prolife #abortionishealthcare #womensrightsmatter #abortionrights

It can’t have bodily autonomy as it is literally not autonomous.

Yes and we also put people in prison for violating that bodily autonomy. This is a loose fitting argument .

Sure, but how does it by default allow for ending the life of another in order to immediately sever an ongoing temporary parental bodily dependency?

Conjoined twins can use the other person's body without concern for consent. If they go through surgery to be separated BOTH have to consent to it. if I donate a kidney I can't come back to withdraw my consent and demand MY kidney back because I no longer consent to donate it.

Creating life just to destroy it seems messed up to me. A fetus is not a leech you picked up swimming in a river. Two people participate in an activity knowing full well the possible consequences, even if they do use protection.

Having a biological outcome to an action you choose is not you not having bodily autonomy. Being out into a state of dependency because of someone else’s actions then that person getting to legally kill you for it is you being denied bodily autonomy as well as life

The person's body that is being used is the person that helped create the other. A conscious choice was made and accountability steps in. None of your arguments will ever have validation because the woman performed an action that caused EVERYTHING to come into play.

consent to sex is consent to pregnancy, I don't get upset when I put gas in my car and magically I can drive.

Bodily autonomy has always, and will always, have limits. You don't get to force dependency on yourself then rip it away in a false sense of justification.

Right, so your bodily autonomy doesn’t give you the right to affect another body. That’s the whole point of that argument. You can’t just punch or more analogously, kill someone next to you in public because they’re encroaching on your space.

difference is. you guys (prochoicers) always like to use analogies that aren't comparable. such as a person using your organs. for life sustaining. not comparable to pregnancy OR parental obligation. you guys use the argument of (ANOTHER person's body) but forget that parental obligation overrides regardless of bodily autonomy. you can't leave your kid unattended in a parking lot. you have an obligation to your money, time, mentality, emotions and care. you can't commit infanticide because you don't want to use your money and stuff. it's the same as the bodily autonomy argument. "I don't want it to use my body" same thing just with money time ect. (more straining in my opinion"
