I decorated snacks for my kids school lunches to surprise him last night. my husband smiled everytime he walked by me and told me I was a cutie butt every time. its nice to feel appreciated.

One of my oldest memories was seeing my mom up late making a princess castle themed cake for my little sister’s birthday party the next day. We didn’t have money to buy a super fancy cake, so she spent hours making one. I thought to myself “wow my mom is the coolest” and she continues to be the best mom ever. We do in fact remember the little things.

My husband and I spent Saurday on a date going from store to store to find things for our kids' Halloween baskets. He used to not care, but he saw the magic the first Easter our oldest son was big enough to enjoy. He told me "I get it now" and now we have 14 years of being extra together 🥰

As the man whose wife does that, it’s just hard sometimes when the bank account is at zero and she’s putting party gifts on the credit card for guests to a one year olds party. I want to spend the money on my kid, their memories, not impressing everyone else.

For our GUINEA PIGS’ first easter, he bought them carrot shaped easter eggs and filled it with treats and “hid” them around their cage 😂 he’s going to be the best dad
