@babyyy_shayyy: All I can really say is about my epilepsy and our community. I'm always thinking about my fellow epileptics and how we can support each other. #SeizureAwareness #epilepsy #epilepsyawareness #community #support

Seizures can be weird. For me, it can be a tingling feeling in my head that slowly spreads until I pass out with no shaking. Sometimes I'm only out for a few seconds, others last minutes. Other times the seizure is just a feeling or visual distortions. Depending on what part of the brain is experiencing a seizure, it can show in many different ways.

I prefer having seizures in my sleep instead of being fully aware of having one that I can't do anything about

My 16 yr old son is newly diagnosed and this is the hardest thing to read he had a seizure I was 7 miles away. I was at the house in less than 5 min. His brother saved his life. Called 911 grand mal he couldn't breath. I check on him all hrs of the night. Keppra rage I've noticed with his medication. Can’t get into neurologist till Nov. Everyday is a nightmare.

I have epilepsy. I almost died this year. If my wife wasn't there. I wouldn't be here. She saved my live. I got up from my recliner and had a seizure. I don't remember a thing. The next thing I knew I was in the hospital. I was told I almost stopped breathing and barely any blood pressure. The doctor added more medication to stop me having seizures. I now have memory issues. God please help me and people like me.

This💔- diagnosed this year. Covid collapsed both lungs. Made it home but I'm on oxygen. POTS came next. Then Lupus. Then Epilepsy. Now a Cardiologist in a few weeks for another diagnosis. All IN 4yrs. In my family being sick is not an option. I've been alone for 4yrs. I'm a RN BSN so I "Can take care of myself", and every night I just cry/every morning I cry. 24 medications. I'm so tired. Never felt so alone & scared at the same time.

I know all of this because I also have epilepsy. 😢 it’s definitely life changing and it’s really hard to deal with but we still do.

I had seizures in my sleep and that’s the only time I would have seizures but I then took the risk of going through brain surgery…I did it 5 times…the seizures haven’t stopped but now they don’t happen in my sleep, they always happen when I’m wide awake and I have an aura right before it starts.

I feel like this every single day for 8 years now, even while on meds. I have daily seizures and nobody ever really notices them only me. I keep trying my best to keep on living a good life but nobody knows exactly the way I feel. I just say I’m ok. Trying to survive.
