yeagerist__7 :

Oda said that he was feeling like he was copying Kishimoto style btw😭

♤Hybrid♤ [Barem Super Fan] :

Deadass this argument is so dumb acting like he didn't admit to copying choji for gear 3 and like Dragon Ball: Akira Toriyama’s work is Eiichiro Oda's self-proclaimed biggest inspiration. One Piece adapted the core shonen blueprint from it, including Luffy’s voracious appetite and naive demeanor (modeled after Kid Goku), the concept of visual transformation power-ups (Gears mimicking Super Saiyan), and the narrative "time skip" to allow characters to train off-screen. Lupin the Third: The foundational dynamic of the early Straw Hat crew heavily mirrors Monkey Punch’s classic crime series. The archetypes match directly: Luffy mirrors the goofy leader Lupin, Zoro reflects the stoic swordsman Goemon, Usopp takes cues from the marksman Jigen, and Nami embodies the clever cat-burglar traits of Fujiko Mine. Kinnikuman: This series heavily influenced Oda's character writing and comedy style. It pioneered the archetype of a buffoonish protagonist who becomes an unbreakable warrior when his friends are in danger. Additionally, the recurring background easter-egg character Pandaman was originally designed by Oda as a submission character for the Kinnikuman manga. Future Robot Daltanious: This 1970s mecha anime directly inspired the aesthetic design of the SMILE Devil Fruit users (like Holdem), who feature animal anatomy awkwardly fused onto their bodies, mimicking the giant lion head on the chest of the Daltanious robot.

Gege Akutami :

naruto has better transformations than luffy tho so naruto better than onepiece

SomewhereOnlyWeKnow :

Oh no Naruto took one scene from Ninku and made it a 1:1 recreation as a homage to what inspired it.. no other show has ever done that.. right? And it’s not like another show about pirates has taken their entire plot BAR FOR BAR from another anime.. right?

芒果 :

In that case
