@fifoaus: 🚌 THINKING ABOUT FIFO? BUS DRIVING COULD BE ANOTHER ROLE TO EXPLORE. Not every FIFO job involves operating heavy machinery or working directly in the mine. FIFO bus drivers help transport workers between airports, accommodation villages and worksites, keeping the workforce moving safely and on schedule. Depending on the employer and site, the role may involve: 🚌 Transporting workers to and from mine sites ⛏️ Following strict site safety procedures 🌅 Working early starts, long shifts or rostered schedules 📋 Completing vehicle checks and maintaining passenger safety A suitable heavy vehicle licence, a good driving record and relevant experience may be required. Some employers may also require additional site inductions or other qualifications.
