@great_art_explained: One of my favourite painters and a soon to be announced project for GAE, #kerryjamesmarshall is interviewed here 10 years ago (whole interview is up on #mcachicago YouTube channel). His show in London this time last year was spectacular. It was the largest exhibition outside the United States and the first major solo presentation in the UK for Marshall. His artwork explores Black American history, everyday life, civil rights, and cultural identity while challenging the traditional Western art canon. Genius artist! #blackart #blackartistsoftiktok #painter
