I lived a life of survival from childhood abuse, though people were aware because of my sharing, there is still the stigma of it being past you get over it. NO you don't, it goes through life with you, forever changed. No longer a victim to the abuser but always seeing life in flight, fighting to ground yourself, fighting for the what if, what should have been. Fight for the present life, of peacefulness.

And most people will never understand. They will never get it's not just I'm sad. For me it turns my entire body into pain. My chest hurts I get nauseous I cry my eyes out. Then wipe the tears and go do all the adult things my family needs me to do. If I open up to people they see surface level they use the logic of having unconditional loving parents which makes me feel like I'm over reacting and I walk away even more hurt. It's not a fun cycle to be in. 😑

God's honest truth is that I don't think that I'll ever be 100% again and I've learned to fully love and embrace all of me, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Imperfect and flaws and all that makes me who I am today.
