Man. I live down the road from Bob Hope and while I’ve heavily avoided flying and going to that airport (or any) since 2021, seeing this and realizing my last walk out of there was when I landed and got back home after my dad died, it hurts a little more. 🥺

My family and I have traveled so many times a year thru this airport, it is home. Although I’m looking forward to the new terminal, so many memories here for family trips .

My dad worked for southwest for over 20 years and he worked at LAX for a while but when I was a kid he worked here I literally have an attachment to this airport I remember we would go to the their work parties sometimes they would be in their offices or like one time it was in the parking lot and I would literally wait in my dad’s office if he ever took me or even waiting for our flight bc we would fly out of their I literally never thought I would be sad over an AIRPORT but I have so many childhood memories here
