I’ve learned that God isn’t in the churches or the Bible studies or the gospel music. He’s in the homeless man sleeping on a bench, the widow that keeps going, the laughter and innocence of children, he’s in the genuine acts of kindness we do for one another. That is where I found God, not crying on my knees to be forgiven or fixed, I am already loved as I am and so are all of you.

People gotta realize You don’t have to be performative about it. You don’t have to wear Christian themed clothes, make the grande post, etc.. All it is is a friendship with God. Social media makes us feel like everything has to become our entire identity.

Me too. And everyone saying “he’s just waiting” clearly didn’t pay attention to the post. We THOUGHT he was waiting. I did everything to believe I tried everything, it just didn’t work out. There’s so many things that don’t make sense and I ain’t ever one to just blindly believe something .

Man, I found God, felt like I lost God, cursed him out, been so angry to the point I couldn’t even pray anymore. I felt like I didn’t know who he was anymore and for some reason, I always find my way back and more at peace. Your journey is yours.

i learned so much theology trying to become a “good” christian that i realized religion can be so performative and corrupt, especially american christianity. theology is tough because every denomination thinks they’re right. so, i have taken a step back.
