@basedcommie1917: Soviet realism (officially known as socialist realism) was the state-mandated artistic and literary doctrine of the Soviet Union from the early 1930s until the late 1980s. Proclaimed official at the First Congress of Soviet Writers in 1934 under Joseph Stalin, it required all artists, writers, and filmmakers to serve the Communist Party by promoting Marxist-Leninist ideology. #communism #russia #realism #History #socialistart
