@deadlyshorts3: RJ Mitte, who played Walter White Jr. in Breaking Bad, has died aged 34 in Texas. A county official confirmed his death on Monday with an investigation ongoing, and Bryan Cranston said in his tribute that his on-screen son took his own life. Cranston, who met Mitte when he was 14 and cast him as Flynn across 56 episodes from 2008 to 2013, wrote that he was "in deep despair" and that the two had been texting weeks earlier about meeting for lunch: "I don't know if that lunch would have changed his future. But I do know that I loved him. I'll miss you, son." Aaron Paul said he was "at a loss", and Dean Norris said Mitte was "a sweetheart of a young man". Mitte was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at three and said he drew directly on it for the role, becoming one of the industry's most prominent advocates for disabled performers, an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and Shriners Children's, and president of his family's Mitte Foundation in Austin. He was adopted, learned of it at six, and grew up helping support his mother and sister after a car crash left her partially paralysed. He became engaged to Kennedy Suarez last year, proposing at a cerebral palsy benefit.
