~ ලෞකික මොහොතක ආස්වාදය වෙනුවෙන් ඔබේ මනස පිරිහී යන්න දෙන්න එපා.. 💛 සංවාදය : මම සහ භාග්‍යවතුන් වහන්සේ 🙏🤍 මම: ස්වාමීනී.. බුදුරජාණන් වහන්ස, මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය පාවිච්චි කරන්න එපා කියලා බුදු දහමේ දැඩිව පෙන්වා දෙන්නේ ඇයි? භාග්‍යවතුන් වහන්සේ: දරුවෝ.. ඒකෙන් ඔබේ මේ වර්තමාන ජීවිතයට වගේම මතු පරලොව ජීවිතයටත් කිසිදු සුගතියක්, යහපතක් සිදු නොවන නිසයි. මම පරලොව ලැබෙන විපාක ගැනත් දේශනා කළා. ඔබ ඒ විපාක ගැන අවබෝධයෙන් ජීවත් වෙන්න. ඔබ ඒ සිල්පදය කැඩුවත්, නැතත් මම ඔබට කිසිදු වරප්‍රසාදයක් හෝ දඬුවමක් ලබා දෙන්නේ නැහැ. මේ ලෝකයේ ක්‍රියාත්මක වන්නේ විශ්වයේ ස්වභාවික ධර්මතාවක් එහෙමත් නැත්නම් කර්ම නියාමයක්.. පරලොව ජීවිතයටත් වඩා ප්‍රථමයෙන් මේ ජීවිතය ගැන සිතන්න. මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය නිසා සැබෑ සැනසීමක් ලැබූ කිසිම කෙනෙක් මේ ලෝකයේ නැහැ. තවද, මේ සිල්පදය කඩන කෙනෙකුට ඊළඟට ඕනෑම අකුසල් නරක ක්‍රියාවක් (සතුන් මැරීම, සොරකම් කිරීම ආදී ඕනෑම දෙයක්) කිරීමට තරම් පසුබට නොවී ඉදිරිපත් විය හැකි අයුරින් ඔහුගේ මනස පිරිහී සැදෙනවා.. ඒ වගේම ඔබේ සෞඛ්‍යට මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ගොඩාක් අහිතකරයි.. මම: එහෙනම් ස්වාමීනී.. ටිකක් වත් පාවිච්චි කිරීම වරදක්ද? ඒක අවසර නැද්ද? භාග්‍යවතුන් වහන්සේ: නැහැ දරුවා.. ඔබ සිල්පදය සමාදන් වුණා නම්, එය ටිකකින් වුණත් බිඳෙනවා නම්, කිසිසේත් එය භාවිතා නොකිරීමයි නුවණට හුරු. මත්ද්‍රව්‍යවලට ඇබ්බැහි වීම පටන් ගන්නේම "ටිකක්" කියන තැනින්. එබැවින් සිල්පදය සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ආරක්‍ෂා කරගනිමින්, සිහියෙන් යුතුව ජීවත් වීමයි ආර්ය මාර්ගය වන්නේ.. මම: කල්‍යාන මිත්‍රයන් ඇසුරු කිරීමේ ආශීර්වාදයත් සමඟ, මම අවුරුදු 25ක් පුරාවට ඉතා පරිස්සමින් රැකගෙන ආ ඒ උතුම් සිල්පදය, ඉදිරියටත් කිසිදු දිනක නොකඩා ආරක්ෂා කරගන්න මම දැඩිව වගබලා ගන්නම් ස්වාමීනී.. ~ Don't let your mind deteriorate for the fleeting enjoyment of a worldly moment.. 💛 Conversation : Myself and the Blessed One 🙏🤍 Myself: Lord.. Buddha, why does Buddhism strongly emphasize not consuming intoxicants and drugs? The Blessed One: My child.. because it brings neither happiness nor goodness to your present life, nor to your life in the hereafter. I have preached about the consequences in the hereafter. Live with an understanding of those consequences. Whether you break this precept or not, I do not bestow any privileges or punishments upon you. What operates in this world is a natural cosmic law, or rather, the Law of Kamma.. Think about this present life even before thinking about the life to come. There is no one in this world who has found true peace through intoxicants. Furthermore, a person who breaks this precept corrupts and conditions their mind to the point where they can easily commit any unwholesome, evil act (such as killing living beings, stealing, or any other wrongdoing) without hesitation.. Moreover, drugs are extremely harmful to your health.. Myself: Then Lord.. is consuming even a little bit a fault? Is it not permitted? The Blessed One: No, my child.. if you have undertaken the precept, and even a little bit of it would be broken by doing so, it is wise not to use it at all. Addiction to intoxicants always begins right at the point of "just a little." Therefore, keeping the precept fully protected and living mindfully is the Noble Path..
