A Florida man is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly confronting an Uber Eats driver who returned to an apartment complex hoping to get his girlfriend’s phone number. The incident happened around 3:25 a.m. Monday at the Pearl Dadeland Apartments in Miami-Dade County. The driver had delivered food to a woman at the complex about an hour earlier and told deputies he had “taken a liking to her.” AOL.com According to a probable-cause affidavit, the driver returned later hoping to see the woman again and possibly ask for her number. He reportedly couldn't find her and was walking back toward his vehicle when Khuslen Saruultuya, 33, allegedly pulled up in a gray Chevrolet Corvette. Investigators say Saruultuya ordered the driver to lie on the ground while pointing a handgun at him. The driver complied, but authorities allege Saruultuya then fired a shot that grazed his buttock and struck him in the back of the head with the gun. CrimeBytes The situation allegedly escalated further when the suspect pointed the weapon at the driver's head and threatened to kill him. The driver's account says the woman intervened, pleading with her boyfriend to stop as he allegedly chased the driver around the Corvette. The driver managed to escape and drove himself to a hospital, where police were notified. His injuries were reportedly not life-threatening. AOL.com Investigators later traced the Corvette's license plate to Saruultuya and arrested him at his home. During the investigation, authorities reportedly found more than $11,000 in cash and suspected drugs at the residence. AOL.com Saruultuya is facing charges including attempted felony murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was being held without bond as of the latest reports. CrimeBytes The case has drawn attention because what began as an awkward attempt to obtain a customer's phone number allegedly turned into a violent confrontation — and ultimately an attempted-murder case. Saruultuya is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. #Florida #CrimeNews #UberEats #BreakingNews #USNews
