Think Singapore finance wants a 4.0? Fewer than 1 in 30 job ads print a GPA at all. Here is what Citi, HSBC, Barclays and OCBC ask, in their own words. Citi: Commercial Banking Summer Analyst 2027, "a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above". Applications close 30 October. Barclays, "a GPA of 3.2 or above" ("ideally", on most of its ads): Investment Banking Graduate Programme 2027, Sales, Trading and Structuring Graduate Programme 2027, Private Bank and Wealth Management Graduate Programme 2027, Research Analyst Summer Internship 2027, Private Bank and Wealth Management Summer Internship 2027, and the Quantitative Analytics Associate Off Cycle Internship 2027. HSBC, "a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0": the Private Bank Graduate programme (from 19 July 2027, 18 months, closes 31 October), the International Wealth and Premier Banking Relationship Management Graduate and Internship, the Global Trade Solutions Graduate and Internship, and the Global Payments Solutions and Securities Services Graduate programmes. HSBC's ads say applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and a vacancy may close before its advertised date. Capital Group, "minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0, 3.75/5.0, or equivalent": its Rotational Program in the Client & Product Track (Associate and Summer Associate) and the Business & Operations Track (Associate and Summer Associate). OCBC: Global Investment Banking Internship in its Mezzanine Capital Unit, December 2026 to May 2027, "a GPA of 4.0 or above, or Second Upper Class Honours equivalent". PwC: the Accounting & Bookkeeping Poly Internship, March to August 2027, "cumulative score of GPA 3.3 to 3.8". And a Second Class Upper Honours for its Deals internships: "minimum" for Corporate Finance and Value Creation off-cycle (January to June 2027), "typically on track for at least" for the One Deals Off-Cycle Internship (January to June 2027) and the One Deals Year-End Internship (December 2026 to February 2027). DigitalBridge: Private Equity Intern, six months from July 2027, Year 2 and above, "good GPA standing / Upper Second-Class Honours". Schroders: 2027 Wealth Management Graduate Trainee, "an honours degree (or equivalent)", all degree subjects. EY-Parthenon: Financial Restructuring Associate for 2027 graduates, "at least an average distinction / 2nd upper degree in Accountancy". FTI Consulting: Graduate Consultant, Economic & Financial Consulting, Second Class Upper Honours preferred. The other 29 in 30 Singapore finance job ads print no GPA at all.
