The best way to keep your feet warm and dry is to use shopping bags. Put you foot, socks on, inside the bag. Then put your foot in your boot. The bag will trap heat and keep water out. 💯💯

You heat large stones under, in and around the wood stove for radiant heat for the next day when it’s not safe for a fire. Line the walls with stone if you can to wait height… you’ll be surprised how much heat they retain… use mud to keep them in place so no stone is loose!! You cover every window in 3 layers of tinfoil and then tack dark heavy blankets over the windows so no light will be seen from the outside at night… use a peep hole 🕳️only if you have to and extinguish any light before peeping. cook meals at night and use the hot stones to heat them up during the day. Melt snow continuously so you don’t run out of water… then pray you aren’t found… also use plastic bags on your feet so that you don’t get wet toes. Never directly leave and return to your hide by the same route… leave food for animals on your perimeter for early warning… a quiet forest is a scared forest.

Why aren’t you covering the windows to hide the light a bit? You don’t want zombies to actually see you, humans to see what supplies you have, and it helps a little with insulation

Actually, if you leave the faucet a drip, and you start a fire in there. And the fire box, the pipes weren't freeze. But you got to leave the water on the drip
