@apostledannyofficial: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned inside a Woolworths shopping bag in a bush in Oakford, KwaZulu-Natal, on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. A man and a woman were walking to a local tuckshop when they heard a baby crying from the bushes. They investigated and found the shopping bag containing the newborn, who was wrapped in a black T-shirt. The baby’s umbilical cord had been cut but not tied, and the placenta was also inside the bag. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) paramedics examined the baby and confirmed that she was in good health. During the investigation, a resident told officers that she had seen a woman dumping the bag in the bushes on Monday afternoon, 12 October. Police enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate the woman believed to have abandoned the baby. Anyone with information is urged to contact RUSA on 086 123 4333.
