@wanderwithmich: a slow day in Transylvania 🇷🇴 Corvin Castle looks like something straight out of a fairytale, although its history is a little less romantic. It’s one of Romania’s seven wonders and one of Europe’s largest surviving Gothic castles. I loved learning about medieval life (gruesome torture methods included)… and it wasn’t too crowded either. If you’re staying in Timișoara, here’s how I’d spend a day: 1. Corvin Castle: Allow a couple of hours to explore the castle and its history 2. Cinciș by the Lake: Around 25 minutes away, perfect for coffee and dessert overlooking the water 3. Popas Cinciș-Cerna: A free viewpoint higher up, with lovely panoramic views of the lake, especially at sunset. Allow around 10 hours for the round trip from Timișoara so you can take your time.
