@pawportunities_rescue: Another Papi sees Jen video. And while we know everyone would love for Jen to adopt Papi, she doesn’t have the capacity to adopt him right now. Having said that- Papi learned to love Jen, and he can learn to love someone else! He will be like this with someone else who is willing to give Papi a chance. Someone who will give him space, respect his boundaries, and go at his speed. Slow and steady wins is the way to win the race to Papi’s heart. And treats- he is quite treat motivated. He is likely going to be a one person chihuahua. He will love that one singular person fiercely. Seriously, he does not want anyone to come near him and his person, or he will give you a big toothy smile. But if you live alone, and will diligently put Papi in a kennel when people come over, he will make your most loyal companion! He should not go to a home with children, as that will just set everyone up for failure. He‘s a lovable little firecracker, with 20 pounds of personality packed inside a 9 pound body! He just needs a chance with someone willing to listen to him, because a tiny tyrant he is. If you are interested in being bossed around by a bold and fearless Chihuahua, please come to our shelter to meet him. Honestly, he may want to meet with you a few times to make sure you pass his tests.
