My Lp(a) was normal 2 years ago. HDL normal but LDL and Trigly were high...but it started to decrease slowly with diet changes over 2 years then all of sudden within 3 months it went up 50 points. Now I'm on a low dose statin ☹️

I requested my heart doctor to give me that blood test along with other heart blood tests. I've had high cholestrol since my 30's. LDL over 300. HDL 100. My LP a is 475! I have tried statins but cannot tolerate. Muscle pain debilitating. I am almost 79 yrs old and still kicking. No statins in many yrs.

Yep, mine was high and I was so frustrated. My doctor did mention that they are working on a drug to manage it though.

My Lp(a) is 15. Guess I won’t worry so much about my elevated VLDLc of 21, LDL of 113, or total cholesterol of 224.
