@mary.winstel: ❤️💙 LIFE IS A LOT LIKE A BILLS GAME… SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO FIGHT THROUGH OVERTIME. 🦬 The Bills winning in overtime is such a beautiful reminder that the game isn’t over just because things get hard. Sometimes we fumble. Sometimes we fall apart. Sometimes life knocks us down so hard we forget what it feels like to stand back up. This week, I’ve spent so much time on the phone with people who are struggling with their mental health, people who are tired, overwhelmed, hurting, and just trying to find their way through whatever life has put in front of them. And it reminds me how much we never truly know what someone is carrying behind the scenes. I wish people could see themselves the way I see them. I wish they could see that even in their darkest moments, there is still so much beauty ahead of them. Because I know life isn’t always easy. I know what it feels like to carry responsibilities, fight battles quietly, and keep showing up for others even when you have your own things to work through. But one bad play doesn’t define the game, and one hard season doesn’t define your life. Sometimes healing means taking it one day at a time. Sometimes winning means simply getting out of bed, asking for help, or choosing to keep going when everything feels heavy. Please remember that you don’t have to be strong every second. You don’t have to have all the answers. And you never have to fight your battles alone. Life can still be incredibly beautiful after the fumbles, the heartbreak, the setbacks, and the moments that almost break us. Stay in the game. Give yourself grace.
