THIS and anyone classifying themsleves as a "Christian witch" are major red flags to me. I speak for myself and all true pagans when I say our gods whether it be Hekate, Quetzalcoatl, Amaterasu, Thoth, Cernunos, Odin, etc... want nothing to with Jesus, saints, appropriated names like lilith, or the people who actively stole our gods, erased out cultures, and appropriated our practices.

We know, but there are ways to share that don't compromise our individual workings. The one's who ignore that? Oh well. But the entire practice, from even thousands of years ago, is built on word of mouth teaching and passing down knowledge. That's normal. So you could say we know when to shut up. And when to share.

every candle burning cord cutting invocation or hex ever FILMED and posted isn't actually the "spell" they're saying it is. the intention is no longer in the craft but to get exposure while making messes and breathing in the fumes of an open flame in on a table. it's so performative and wasteful. MOST of their things aren't even sourced properly like I could go on and on

what parts do you think are supposed to be done in silence? i personally love that it’s becoming more widely shared and normalized. every human has power and can access it if they can access the knowledge. they used to burn women over this stuff, and now we can openly share our crafts with each other without prosecution. hiding in silence seems like it would perpetuate the prosecution of those who practice the craft

I don’t like the idea of witch tok. I don’t like the idea of people trying to do spell work without knowledge. I don’t like misinformation. I don’t like money hungry people charging an arm and a leg to others who are in despair. I do enjoy community and I like seeing others ideas, but I don’t believe it should be posed online. I also don’t like the attitudes and egos of many large witch tok creators. It could be the hermit in me, but I will always think books are the best way to go to learn anything

These kids never even knew the definition of the word "occult" before calling themselves a witch. The person that created "the witch's pyramid" was an ableist cis-het meat-eater so it's not a part of their practice.
