This project called ps2 web recomp takes the raw machine code of a PlayStation 2 game and translates it ahead of time into efficient web assembly. Instead of simulating the hardware instruction by instruction in real time, it compiles the code directly for your computer. The system also rebuilds the console’s operating system and graphics pipeline using modern web technologies. You simply feed it a disc image of a game you own, and the scripts turn it into a playable website.
