In my opinion I don’t think women as a whole have to completely pretend that motherhood and being a wife is enjoyable , even if she has a good man beside her. Mother hood can be one hundred percent draining for a woman as it takes a lot of patience , times , energy and lack of selfishness. And I completely understand why some women will dislike mother hood and being a wife , as throughout history , being a wife/mother and having children was tied to a womans value/identity, also society also teaches women that if they get married and have children they are automatically going to be rewarded a good husband and a healthy relationship , when life doesnt really work like that , you can be the most loving , obedient woman and still get treated badly . I don’t think motherhood is bad in itself , I think the reason why many women may dislike motherhood and being a wife is because of the context throughout history behind it .
