@tylerlcrawford: Apple HomeView. $299, ships November 13. It sits on your counter or mounts to your wall and runs your whole home. Basically the control panel from a nice hotel suite, except it also handles your music and your calls. Three things that stood out to me. It recognizes up to six people by face and voice and switches to their content automatically, and none of that data leaves the device. The Home Camera face streams up to nine camera feeds at once, and it listens for your smoke and CO detectors and pings your phone if one goes off. And it hands off from your iPhone mid podcast or mid recipe so you pick up right where you left off in the kitchen. Worth knowing: Siri AI on it is in beta, English only at launch, and the wall mount, cable, and power adapter are sold separately. I bought one. Full review once it ships. Save this if you’re deciding. Follow for the real test. #applehomeview #smarthome #apple #hometech #smarthomeideas
