@seeandsavethedogs: Waiting since February! 💔1 year old Bacon needs our help getting seen and saved! she has spent 8 long months being overlooked day after day, and she deserves more in her life than sitting in a cement kennel 24 hours a day😢 Bacon was picked up as a stray in February, she would constantly shake and hide in her cubby at the beginning, but she has since acclimated to the loud cold noisy shelter she now calls home Bacon is a fun GIRL! 💖 She gets so excited the few times a week she gets to leave her kennel and play in the yard, she loves to chase a ball and play with toys, she likes the pool, she literally jumps for joy and barks to tell you how much fun she’s having. She enjoys booty scratches once she’s gotten all her energy out. In play groups with other dogs, Bacon can be high energy and obnoxious, selective, with some bouts of play, slow introductions are always recommended when introducing any new pet to your home Help us share Bacon to get her seen! She’s often found in her cubby where she feels safe and she’s often surprised when anyone actually stops to say hi at her kennel so it takes her a while to come out 💔 Bacon shouldn’t wait any longer for a home, a loving family, and a warm bed #dog #shelterdog #rescuedog #adoptdontshop #fyp Bacon A2258184 1 year, 8 months 63 lbs 📍 North Central Animal Shelter 3201 Lacy Street, Los Angeles, CA 90031 ⏰ Tues–Fri 8AM–5PM Closed Mondays Sat & Sun 11AM–5PM 888-452-7381; laanimalservices.com

Shelter dogs are full of love and potential, patiently waiting for a second chance at a happy life through adoption. By choosing to adopt, families not only gain a loyal companion but also help reduce overcrowding in shelters and give these dogs the fresh start they deserve. Donating money to animal shelters plays a vital role in providing food, medical care, and safe, comfortable spaces for dogs as they wait for their forever homes. None of this would be possible without the amazing volunteers who give their time, energy, and compassion every day—walking dogs, cleaning kennels, offering comfort, and spreading hope. Together, adopters, donors, and volunteers make a life-changing difference for shelter dogs.❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️

Your first day at the gym does not need to be perfect—it just needs to happen. 🤍 Most beginners feel nervous because they think everyone else knows exactly what they’re doing. In reality, almost everyone started by adjusting machines awkwardly, checking exercise videos between sets, and wondering whether they were doing enough. Here’s what actually matters: 🏋️ Follow a simple plan. The 5-day split in this post gives each muscle group attention, but you can begin with 3–4 days if five feels overwhelming. A routine you can repeat consistently is better than an “ideal” plan you cannot maintain. ✨ Choose form before heavy weight. Begin with a light resistance, move slowly, and learn the full pain-free range of motion. Machines are completely okay and can make your first few sessions feel much more comfortable. 🚶‍♀️ Use cardio to support your training. Daily walks and a few short, low-intensity cardio sessions are plenty for most beginners. You do not need to exhaust yourself after every workout. 🥗 Fuel your body properly. Include protein, carbohydrates, fruit, vegetables, healthy fats, and enough water throughout the day. Carbs are not the enemy—they help give you energy to train and recover. 😴 Take recovery seriously. Muscles need rest, food, hydration, and sleep to grow stronger. Rest days are part of your program, not a sign that you are falling behind. 📈 Track your progress. Keep the same basic exercises for several weeks. First improve your technique, then gradually add a rep or a small amount of weight. Those tiny improvements are progressive overload—and they add up. Most importantly, you are allowed to ask for help. Ask a staff member how to adjust a machine, watch a demonstration, and leave the gym while you still have some energy. Confidence comes from showing up repeatedly, not knowing everything on day one. 📲 Use the Workit App for structured workouts, exercise guidance, progress tracking, nutrition tools, and a plan that helps you walk into the gym knowing exactly what to do. Save this guide for your first week—and send it to a girl who is nervous to start. 💜 #gymbeginner #beginnergymguide #gymgirl #fitnessjourney #workoutplan
