I legit thought Naruto Ship only dubbed because I would sneak onto adult swim and watch it. Thought Naruto was only in jap cause I found a sight and watched it there. I was frickin 15 when I found that dubbed and subbed was a thing 💀💀 [Laugh approved][Laugh approved][Laugh approved] my mom got Netflix and I GORGED the whole genre on that app. And of course coming from a Christian household, watching shows like ‘Chobits’ “Another” ‘Sekirei’ or ‘GirlsBravo’ was HARD- [Laugh approved][Laugh approved]

I kinda liked the video and kinda didnt. because some great anime. but also, let's not "gatekeep" anime. someone who likes one genre might just not like another 🤷♀️i was bullied from family and peers growing up for even liking/watching anime and reading manga. let's not bring back that mentality.

every anime you listed as mainstream. none of those are niche at all. in fact if you're streaming anime on Netflix or Crunchyroll or Hulu no matter the title it's mainstream. niche titles either have a very bad English dub because they're old or they don't have one at all.

ive watched over 300+ animes...since I was 5...im 30 now 💀💀 and I've never even heard of any of the ones yu mentioned im overe here watching romance yaoi besides shonen...I like dark romance...for me to watch something I have to find it relatable...or like a book to escape reality...not watch just to say I watched something

Haven't had a chance to watch Space Dandy yet. I keep hearing good things. I'll likely pick it up soon. Weather and season changes make my job in in-home healthcare and hospice a little crazy. I have a 73 year old bedbound client who loves when I put on anime shows or movies for her. She's got a fondness for mechs, so Big O and Gundam Wing are her favorites so far.
