2 CHRONICLES 16:9
2 CHRONICLES 16:9 "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars". This was an occasion when king of Judah Asa was attacked by Baasha king of Israel, instead of consulting and relying on the Lord, he relied on king of Assyria to help him. Hitherto, king Asa was rebuked by prophet Hanani for relying on the king of Syria and not relying on the Lord our God. Moreover, the seer brought to his attention what the Lord did for Judah previously when king Asa relied on the Lord- 2 Chronicles 16:8 "Were not the Ethiopians and Lubim a huge army with a great number of chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the Lord, He placed them in your hand"(AMP). You see, when King Asa relied on the Lord,he won all the battles including the ones that are bigger than the little one he asked for favor from Syria. That's why the statement in verse 9 was made. And that is a message that applies to all of us today; that we should totally surrender our will and trust the Lord our God, and He will deliver us in any situations and circumstances and He will make us victorious. How do you accomplish this? Get your heart perfect with the Lord. How? First of all, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior; that is, confess your sins, ask for forgiveness and repent, and become His child. Furthermore, to get your heart perfect toward God:- 1) Have faith in God- believe in His words (Mark 11:22). 2( Trust Him sincerely and be loyal in your devotion to Him. 3) Totally surrender all your wills to Him. And I will conclude with what David said in Psalm 37:3-5 "Trust in the Lord and do good;     dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Take delight in the Lord,     and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord;     trust in him and he will do this"(NIV). May God Almighty our heavenly Father Yahweh, bless you all in Jesus name. #trust #trustgod #rely #faith #jesuslovesyou
