The whole purpose of unmarked, high-performance vehicles is to maintain a degree of anonymity and avoid compromising Gardaí unless absolutely necessary. Publicly revealing the vehicles and their registrations surely undermines that objective. If there are at least six unmarked X5s now widely identifiable, it raises legitimate questions about operational security and the effectiveness of keeping these vehicles unmarked in the first place. You would have to question the judgement behind making this information so readily available.
