I never was special ed but I dropped out of school when I was what I really quit going and look all my life Papa would let me ride and drive him all across the country he was old and it didn't have a driver sometime because his son had to go to prison for a DUI for a few years and I remember driving Papa all over the country sitting on pillows no more than eight or nine years old and he would always just tell me all you got to do is three things so keep it between the lines always double look every time before you turn and drive the damn speed limit never go over no more in 3 miles per hour and never go under no more than 5 mph he told me his secret to riding for almost 70 years without ever owning the driver's license and without ever getting the ticket for a license sure he got pulled over once or twice for no license but they might ask him why he didn't have one he would say I ain't never had one. and he would show him his ID and that would be the end of it I never seen him get a speeding ticket and 70 years he drove he told me he had never had no kind of ticket never went to jail not one time that the law helped him a lot of times he might be lost or he might be in an area where he had to pull up and talk to them and they might ID him or something you know and he had just told me they helped him too many times and he was just one of them types of old men that you just couldn't say no to if he asked you something bless his heart he was one of the best men alive and I followed his footsteps about school he quit in the fourth grade and had to take care of his parents picking cotton well I quit school around the 9th grade and had to take care of myself basically for the rest of my life
